The 2010 Hampshire & Surrey Opens
![]() Events 2 & 3 on the British tour, the 4th Hampshire Open & the inaugural Surrey Open contrasted the fortunes of racketlon. The Hampshire event, without local organisers, is perhaps at an impasse, failing to build on prior years, whilst the Surrey event attracted a large number of new players to the one day event, with 75 players in total.

Appeal to UK Players Competing Overseas ![]() There is a lot of effort required to keep us all up to date with all the developments happening, both in the UK & around the world in the sport of racketlon. As we are still a fledgling sport, those of us involved in the running of the sport are unpaid enthusiasts. As such, we very much are reliant on players, families & supporters to keep us informed & we welcome 'reports' from the field. There is very little media coverage of racketlon & thus we are reliant on players & spectators to provide us with media material that we can fashion into news items for the website. This equally applies to UK events & we welcome ideas from anyone about improving the whole experience.

World Sports Festival
![]() This is an international youth sport festival that this year includes racketlon & takes place in Vienna, Austria from the 8th to 11th July 2010. The event has U14, U16 & U18 team categories. Since 2008 more than 8,000 sport enthusiasts have taken part in this youth sport event under the patronage of the UNESCO. We expect 6,000 in 2010.
You don’t have to be a top athlete to take part. It is enough that you give your best and you consider your level of training to be good enough to compete against others in a fair contest. Reward yourself for your training and prove that you have what it takes to surpass yourself in an international atmosphere, because in collective competition color of skin, religion or nationality do not play a role. You can find out more on the World Sports Festival Website & can contact ERA if you would like some assistance with putting a team together. 11APR - Expanded Article Latest Rankings Out!
