The British, Nottinghamshire, Suffolk, & South London Racketlon Opens 2009
Event four on the 2009 British tour, the British Racketlon Open was well attended & provided excellent competition across all class standards...read the report here. Event five, the smaller 'local' Nottingham event reached capacity well before the entry deadline, suggesting there might be room for a second yearly event, either at the same venue, or at a larger venue...again read the report here.

Event 6, the Suffolk Racketlon Open & Event 7, the South London Racketlon Open followed towards the end of June, both producing some new emerging talents: Suffolk report; South London report.

Summary reports & full results spreadsheet for all events can always be found on the 'news' section of the ERA website & are also being built into the links section of the website. If you haven't already done so, please consider registering to this website, especially if you are intending to enter future events.

Junior Racketlon Interest Builds
Following on from the BBC Sportsround Racketlon feature in 2008 & levels of interest in recent months including the most recent S4C UNED 5 youth TV feature, we are keen to offer junior categories at upcoming events. In conjunction with this we are planning to launch British rankings for all event categories & there are plans to hold a champions dinner & presentation evening at the end of each tour year. If you are interested in junior Racketlon events please contact  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Welsh Open is Online!
After failed early attempts in 2004 we are now looking forward to the inaugural Welsh Racketlon Open 2009, which takes place at David Lloyd, Cardiff on the 1st & 2nd August 2009. This event also forms part of the FIR World tour, the second UK 'Challenger' event & the first time the UK will host four world tour events in a single year. This emphasizes the UK as one of the hotbeds of World Racketlon & there may be bigger FIR World Tour news for 2010.

The 8th! Carlton & Dunlop English Open

Hot on the heels of the Welsh Racketlon Open is the English Racketlon Open, typically the biggest event on the UK tour, as exemplified last year where the event, that included the 2008 Doubles World Championships, attracted over 250 entries.

Latest Rankings Out!

The latest UK Rankings, including results from the British & Nottinghamshire Opens, are available to download from the 'Rankings' section of the ERA website. The section also includes a summary of the rankings & links to the world rankings, which have also recently been updated.

New Tour Dates

Keep checking the ERA website 'events' section for new tour date confirmations. The latest tour date to be added is the British Champs later in the winter, a two day event at Gosling Sports Park. A list of locations being investigated appears on the ERA website. If you are aware of a venue that might suit a racketlon tournament please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with relevant details.
