English Regional Racketlon ![]() A number of you have contacted the ERA to be put in touch with other local players. This has resulted in some opening discussions about additional 'local' or 'regional' events. We are also hoping to have a 'team' championships later in the year & we would also like to see some venues hosting regular practice sessions, effectively encouraging the beginnings of racketlon 'clubs'. Facebook Anniversaries! ![]() Facebook celebrates it's fifth birthday this month, with over 100 million members worldwide. February is also the month that the UK Racketlon Portal group was setup last year & hence the group celebrates it's first birthday. OK, with just over 200 members, we are not quite keeping up, but it is a great way to keep in touch with the racketlon community, receive 'event invites' & help spread the word among your 'friends' networks. If you haven't already done so, please consider joining! Essex University Racketlon ![]() Valentine's day is to be a date for the racketlon enthusiasts at Essex University as students & staff come together for another inaugural event. This follows on from the Newcastle event reported previously & is a further sign of the increasing interest among the student fraternity. If you are at university & want to consider something similar, perhaps your first starting point is to gauge interest from your BUCS teams in the individual sports. The ERA will gladly help if you need any advice to help run your event.
